Ms. Cookie’s Helping Hand Scholarship
Honoring Sister Hortense “Ms. Cookie” Dudley
A family-led education support initiative for an eligible student connected to Santa Cruz, Jamaica and entering or currently attending St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS).
Purpose
Education support in Ms. Cookie’s honor.
The scholarship honors the legacy of Sister Hortense “Ms. Cookie” Dudley by supporting education access for a student connected to Santa Cruz, Jamaica and entering or currently attending STETHS.
One selected student will receive tuition assistance paid directly to the student’s school, up to the verified tuition amount approved for this scholarship cycle.
Eligibility
Who can apply?
- Native to Santa Cruz, Jamaica.
- Entering or currently attending St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS).
- Able to submit a complete application by July 31, 2026.
Application Materials
What to send.
- Completed application.
- 250-500 word essay.
- Proof of tuition amount when possible.
- Student and parent/guardian certification/signature.
Optional: teacher or supporting adult recommendation; video statement. A written application remains sufficient.

Applications are confidential. A winner may be announced, but no details that identify the recipient will be disclosed publicly. Student names, photos, essays, family information, school records, and application details are not used publicly without permission.
